This was the best radio in 1953, when things were made well, with the best materials and the best sound quality. It is the ideal radio for those who are looking for the best and most authentic tube sound.

Years later Saba built other Freiburg models but they had automatic tuners and other unnecessary things that made them very cool but worsened the performance and quality. In my opinion, the 1953 FREIBURG model is the best of them all and no similar radio was ever made again.

Look at the pictures of the loudspeakers. They are incredible. Even inside one of the front speakers there is another small speaker for the higher tones. This is an example of a job well done and without regard to cost.

It has been 100% revised and tested. All capacitors, tubes and resistors in bad condition were replaced. All mechanical problems were fixed and AM-FM filters adjusted. Dial bulbs replaced, dial cord revised, ferrit antenne cord replaced, variable resistors cleaned,...everything has been checked. Now, the radio radio works like new.

The case is in mint condition: no marks, no scratches, nothing. Absolutely perfect.

It works in AM, FM, SHORT WAVE and LONG WAVE.

It has got an internal voltage regulator that goes from 110V to 220V so the radio is ready to plug and play in every country
