Antique tube radio manufactured by PHILIPS, model B4X61A made in Holland in 1957.

Technically it is a very well equipped radio. It has 9 tubes, with two amplifiers EL84 and EL86. A double cone loudspeaker that picks up all tones incredibly well and selectors for bass and treble.

Aesthetically it is possibly the best looking medium sized radio I have ever seen and it is flawless, practically as good as new. I don't see a single visible scratch or damage, not even superficial. It has a beautiful green colour, those colours that were only seen at that time.

I don't think we will have a radio like this again in the future. It is an ideal radio for those who love music, good sound and original retro aesthetics.

The radio has been completely overhauled and repaired down to the smallest detail. The interior has been cleaned and treated with products that will protect the metal parts against rust and all the capacitors, resistors and valves in bad condition have been replaced. The result is a radio in perfect condition.

The sound is excellent, as only tube radios can be: loud, clear and warm.

It works on all bands: FM and AM (Medium, Long and Short Wave).

These radios were manufactured with an internal voltage selector that goes from 110 to 220V, so the radio is compatible for countries with voltages from 110 to 220V without the need to use a transformer.

This radio has a rear turntable input, which can now be used to connect one of the Bluetooth Amplifiers we have advertised in our shop. This way you can not only listen to AM and FM radio but also listen to your favourite music from your iPhone, CD, computer.... with that warm sound that old radios have.
